Pharm.(Dr). Nimigheiye Leghemo is a goal oriented Pharmacist leader with over 35 years of professional experience in Hospital, administrative and marketing practice across public, private and corporate sectors building strong teams to achieve organizational objectives of delivering quality and efficient pharmaceutical services. He currently leads the Pharmacy Services department at Oando Medical Services, overseeing pharmaceutical care for over 5,000 staff, retirees and contractors across 15 locations. Born on the 10th of August 1967, his educational background includes a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Obafemi Awolowo University (1988) and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Benin (2006). He has also attended and received certification in several courses both locally and internationally in Leadership, Management, Pharmaceutical Care, Supply Chain management and logistics among others. Dr. Leghemo's professional journey includes notable stints at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, Port Harcourt first as an intern and later as a Grade 1 Pharmacist and Nigerian German Chemicals Plc, where as a Medical Representative, he successfully introduced new products into the South-South and South-East markets. In the public sector, Dr. Leghemo spent 11 years with the Bayelsa State Ministry of Health, establishing a central procurement and distribution system for medicines and consumables. He has served the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria in Bayelsa and Rivers States in various capacities at various times including Secretary, PSN Bayelsa State Branch; Chairman Pharmacy Week Planning Committee, Rivers State; Chairman, AHAPN Rivers State AGM planning Committee; Member, Pharmacy Resource Centre Building Committee, Rivers State among several other services. Dr Leghemo is a Merit Award Winner(MAW) of PSN, Rivers State and also a Distinguished Service Award (DSA) winner of the Association of Hospital and Administrative Pharmacists of Nigeria (AHAPN) Dr. Leghemo’s leadership roles extend to the Church with his investiture as a Knight of St. Christopher (KSC) in the Anglican Communion, Church of Nigeria, a Field Representative of Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International and a board member of the Christ Church PH Men's League multi-purpose society ltd. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Great Ife Pharmacy Alumni Association (Class88) and President of the IfePharm 88 Cooperative Multipurpose Society Ltd. Outside of work, Dr. Leghemo enjoys playing football and golf and is happily married with children.
